With only four weeks to go before North West Victorian Motorcycle Club host the Annual Hattah Desert Race, a group of keen riders have made the trek to Alice Springs to race the ever popular Finke Desert Race this weekend.

The race is ran over two days and is said to be one of the toughest endurance races next to the Hattah Desert Race.

The riders that have put their endurance skills to the test are North West Club members, Luke McSwain in the 251cc & Over 2stk class, Josh Knights in the up to 250cc class, Brodie Waters and Nathan Trigg in the 251cc – 450cc class, Jason Stewart and Warren Colley in the 40-44yrs class, Darcy Gordon in the 500cc class and Megan Johnson in the ladies class.

These riders all know first hand how testing the Finke Desert race is as they have all entered in previous years except for Brodie Waters being his first time.

All of the riders have a team of mechanics and crew with them who will meet them half way at Finke and will assist with fuel stops each day.

When the riders return to Mildura they will compete in the second round of the Enduro series on June 17th for a final enduro race before the Hattah Desert Race.
